Nikon 28mm f/1.4 AF-D

Check availablity: eBay.

The high price made this high quality lens difficult to sell, so Nikon discontinued it in 2006. Excellent sharpness, even at f/1.4. Punchy colours and excellent contrast. Low distorion. Minimal CA. Ghosts and flares are well controlled. Only criticism is that it has ugly bokeh (bright spot in centre of a blob).
