Incorporates CRC (Close Range Correction) which gives excellent corner-to-corner sharpness, even at close range. Some field curvature that may be troublesome if you shoot perfectly flat subjects at close range. Some coma is visible in the corners wide open. Prone to CA, flare and ghosting, but stopping down helps. Some vignetting wide open, but this is gone at f/4. Some barrel distortion. Best performance overall in the range f/5.6 to f/11.

Central hot-spot when used for IR.
