Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 G ED-IF AF-S
Professional class lens, with a pricetag to match. Excellent sharpness. It performs well wide open on FX, and edge sharpness is good over the entire zoom range. Virtually no CA. Some flare and ghosting. Strong barrel distortion at the wide end, but this can easily be corrected in post-processing with Photoshop's lens distortion filter.
The mechanical construction is solid, with rubber seals to protect it against dust and moisture.
Some samples may let stray light get in through the distance scale window when zoomed to 55 mm at FX.
