This Nikon pre-CLS flash is for all intents and purposes generic flash units when used on any DSLR. Its legacy Nikon OTF TTL-mode is incompatible with CLS, but it will work fine in manual and non-TTL auto mode.

Coverage is 28 mm (FX), but there is a built-in wide flash adapter that gives 17 mm coverage.

The flash head can be tilted. Set to 75° for shooting normal subjects, 50° for shooting subjects closer than 0.4 meters, and 13° for low profile (for transportation).

There are three manual settings in varipower mode (1/1, 1/8, and 1/32). There is also a switch for flash output level compensation (FOLC) (+½, 0, -½ EV).

Comes with soft case SS-30.
