Elgawa was the main brand of Ing. Heinz Blohm, also known as VEB Elgawa and VEB Elektronik Plauen. The company manufactured electrical and electronic appliances. It was located in Plauen, Vogtland, in Eastern Germany (DDR). The company was founded in 1946 and ceased to operate in 1991.
The company manufactured electronic flash units for Praktica SLRs. It also manufactured non-photographic goods such as testing equipment, radio receivers, electrical hotplates and electronic organs.
