Safe triggering voltage for Canon Powershot SX10is

Can I use one Canon dedicated hot shoe Ring Flash SUNPAK Auto DX 8R from my old analogic Canon Equip. in a Canon PowerShot SX 10 is, whitout risk of camera damage?

By your triggering voltage table this flash woks with 6 volts. How much is the max. triggering voltage on Powershot cameras?

One response:

The safe triggering voltage for Canon compact digital cameras, such as the Powershot series, is listed here.

It is six volts, so your Sunpak ring flash should not damage your Powershot SX10 IS.
