Miranda 500-CD multi dedicated

Hi I have a Miranda 500-CD multi dedicated flash gun (it was my dads, he has passed away so can't ask him about it).

Basically what I am asking is if it is safe to use with my canon 1100d please.

Thanks in advance
Helen

@Helen,
the Miranda 500CD multi-dedicated has a low trigger voltage (2.8 volts) and should be safe with a Canon 1100D.

When using it on a DSLR, set the dedication select switch to “S” to disable the legacy dedication function.

For more information about flash trigger voltages, see this page.

Thank you for your advice. You say it should be safe? If I set it to the "S" will this make it ok?

Thanks
Helen

Yes, that flash is safe for use on a Canon EOS 1100D.

Setting it to “S” will make it work as an regular auto-thyristor flash.
