Ansel Adams tribute by Peter Essick

On their webpage, National Geographic presents a portfolio where landscape photographer Peter Essick pays tribute to Ansel Adams and the California wilderness. The portfolio consists of 13 stunningly beautiful black and white photographs. The photographs are not just pastiches. Unlike many other Adams tributes, these are not shot from Adams' favourite tripod holes, but new subjects and landscapes photographed in the spirit of the Master.
